Ecoscience Pest Management is a Kolkata-based company offering eco-friendly pest control services for homes and commercial spaces. They compete in a market dominated by legacy brands like Pest Control India and Rentokil — but with a differentiated proposition: chemical-free, science-backed treatments.

Aryanss handled both the website build and the Google Ads campaign from scratch.


The Challenge

Competing against legacy brands

Pest control is a high-intent, commoditised category. The biggest brands dominate organic results, and CPC can be punishing if you bid broadly. The challenge: find the keyword and targeting pockets where we could compete profitably, and build a landing experience that converted the clicks we paid for.

What the market looked like

Google Search Impression Share for pest control keywords in Kolkata is heavily contested. Average CPCs range from ₹8 to ₹35+. Our job was to find the long-tail intent keywords — specific service + location combinations — where CPCs were lower but purchase intent was equal or higher.

We organised the campaign into tightly themed ad groups by service type — cockroach control, termite treatment, bed bugs, etc. — each with dedicated ad copy and a landing page section designed to match the specific query. This Quality Score strategy kept CPCs low while keeping ad relevance high.

Keyword strategy

Focused on specific service + location combinations (e.g. "cockroach pest control Kolkata", "termite treatment New Town"). Avoided generic head terms where competition and CPC spikes eat budget without proportional returns.

Website & landing page

Built the site with click-to-call prominent on every page, trust signals (certifications, process descriptions, guarantee language), and service pages structured to match ad group intent. Mobile-first — pest control searches are 70%+ mobile.
